PRENATAL SUPPORT GROUP (FACEBOOK)
With one in five birthing people experiencing a Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorder, we want to set the stage for a preventative approach to care! We know that close 15% of pregnant people are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and often aren’t getting the support they need to build a plan that prioritizes their mental health during the early postpartum transition.
Our hope for this group is that birthing people have access to evidence based information regarding the birth process and the support they need to make informed decisions about their care! We believe birth matters and that every birthing person should have access to education and support that is inclusive and culturally appropriate throughout the perinatal period.
PMAD SUPPORT GROUP (FACEBOOK)
Social support and a safe community is so important in the prevention and treatment of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD). We are excited to be able to connect with new parents in an online capacity which hopefully will reduce the barriers birthing people face when they are struggling with Postpartum Depression and/or Anxiety.
This group is designed for both pregnant and postpartum birthing people who are struggling with their mental health. We welcome those who join us to share openly about how they’re feeling and find a strong sense of connection and support from others in the group.
Although this group does not replace the care from a professional mental health provider, it certainly is a positive addition to your own unique treatment plan.
FATHERGOOD GROUP (FACEBOOK)
Becoming a new Dad is an incredible experience! While it's exciting to welcome a new baby into the world, we know that there is no manual that comes with new parenthood!
Being a new dad also comes with a steep learning curve from diaper duty, burbs, swaddling, sleep routines, and emotional support for your partner (for those that have one). With 10% of new fathers also experiencing Postpartum Depression (PPD) & Anxiety, we want to make sure you feel supported as you move through the postpartum period whether it be through education or much needed social support!
If you're a new or soon to be father, join us in our private Facebook group!
